I hate being caught without something I need. I hate running out of things. And I hate not knowing where something is.

How long has it been? • Finally hitting my stride. • On to the next thing.

This is the final full post to complete one year of writing a blog. Now what?

Sometimes I have to remind myself: “There is nothing wrong with me ... I am unlearning generations of harm ... It takes time."

Tight squeeze on my heart •As hands touch what isn’t theirs. •You’re okay. There’s more.

The easiest way for something to not be where it belongs? Someone else touches it. Which is why I hate it when other people touch my stuff!

Don't get it perfect. Get it going.

Eyes closed. Body still. • Deep breath. Calm mind. Focus in. • What the hell is that?!

I’ve given lip service to meditation but never gone all-in with any sort of regularity or commitment.

I love long walks on the beach with my girlfriend, until the LSD wears off ...

Too much. Can’t handle. • Distract. Detach. Free your mind. • Avoid at all cost.

If I have to actively avoid certain specifics of reality in order to lead a fuller and richer life, I think it’s worth it.

Growth does not come from striving to be a loving, helpful person. Growth comes from allowing your ego’s story to drop away.

Do your job. Don’t suck. • Miss your mark. Image shattered. • Can’t be undone. Grace.

I wanted two bedrooms so we could comfortably host people. He wanted a studio with an open floor plan so we could run around naked. Alone.

Living in the present is nice, in theory, except when you’re in pain.

I believe there is beauty in witnessing another’s pain, in not suffering alone. And yet, when faced with my own pain, I tend to go it alone.
